Carp Baits

From Fishing Words
Carp Baits can be anything from plain old worms to exotic dough bait recipes. Common carp will eat almost anything at one time or another. But they are mainly herbivorous, living on algae and various kinds of aquatic vegetation. They also enjoy berries and seed pods that fall into the water, and even dine on the floating cottony fluff dropped by many trees in the spring. Of course they also dine on invertebrates and will even chase down and consume live minnows.
Most serious carp chasers use corn, wadded up bread balls or some form of dough bait. Simply crushing any form of dry cereal and adding water or milk to make a stiff dough will make a good carp bait. Saltine crakers are also popular for this type of bait. Actually, plain old flour and water will suffice. Some carpers swear by adding special flavorings...anise (licorice), strawberry or banana. If it works, go for it.
There are an increasing number of carp fans, and also more websites that provide tips and techniques for catching them. You can find lots of recipes for carp baits on these sites too.
